Yorkshire Chef Knife
Part of the Taylor premium knife collection
this knife is inspired by the industrial Yorkshire history.
This very light hand forged chef knife is made from Sheffield 80CrV2 steel clad Victorian wrought iron. it is paired with prime English black walnut handle that is rounded for comfortable grip, adorned steel spacer, fluted brass cap and a brass pin hand engraved with the Yorkshire rose, the blade is tapered thin to the end, with a gradual convex grind to assist with food release. This is then polished with natural British whetstones and finished on a Yorkshire whetstone to give a cloudy mirror finish, this unique wrought iron clad gives the impression of dripping iron on one side and iron waves on the other. This can be used as a main chef knife that performs well as a all-rounder.
Please note that the wrought iron cladding oxidizes very quickly so requires extra care, rust and marking can be avoided by cleaning right after use and kept dry when not in use and coated with food grade oil when not in use for extended period of time.
