Damascus Chef Knife set

This Chef knife set is truly one of a kind, created at the peak of my current craftsmenship, deisgned to be a prized peice and heirloom for its owner. 
 
The knife is hand forged and made from Sheffield 80CrV2  and 15N20 steel that is stacked, twisted and ground to create this "Random ladder" pattern damascus knife, the shape is Celtic inspired, it is paired with prime English Brown Oak handle which is polished and finished with high quality wood oil, adornened with a angular brass bolster and damascus cap, on the spine is a brass inlay that is meticulously hand engraved with my original ornate scroll design, the blade has a fine tapered geometry and is tapered to the end for excellent cutting ability with a gradual convex grind to assist with food release. This is blade is acid etched and polished repeatedly to expose the deep contrast between the different steels, one deeply oxidized and dark while the other brightly polished. 
 
The Knife sheath is custom made By Hôrd, A local fine leather craftsmens , 
the sheath was custom fit to this knife using strong and durable full grain leather
in a three peice constrution and secured with a strong double saddle stitch technique. 
the color and material was custom chosen to compliment the knife. 
the knife is secured with a satin brass rivet. 
 
The heavy cutting board is made by Turgworks a local Woodworker, the timber was hand picked from Premium brown Oak, spefically chosen from its complex multitude of figure ranging from Medullary Rays, pipping and burl, feturing a live edge.
the chopping board is highly polished and finished with Rubio Oil to reveal its rich tones and contrast between its heartwood and Cambium Layer.
the board is adorned with a with a damascus inlay Taylor Forged Knives logo.
the side of the board reveals it's beautiful cross section figure with its Medullary rays Cutting through the growth rings.
