Taylor forged knives may change these Terms and Conditions from time to time as necessary by updating this page. You should return to this page to ensure that you are happy with any changes.
These terms are effective from 27th September 2021.
Purchasing Taylor Forged Knives is based in the UK and is governed by UK law. Under UK law it is illegal to sell any knife to anyone under the age of 18. When you buy a knife through this website, you are making a legal declaration that you are 18 years of age or more. If you are under 18, DO NOT BUY A KNIFE FROM THIS WEBSITE, even if it is as a gift for someone else. You will be required to prove that you are 18 or over when you take delivery of the knife.

my Knives are made by hand so are susceptible to imperfections, the spine and edge may not be perfectly straight, handles may not be perfectly matched in shape/grain or figure although my knives are priced accordingly to match it's quality but none of my knives have imperfections that significantly effect it's performance in a negative way unless stated in the description. photos of products are for illustration purposes only and may differ in person due to lighting and perspective but I have tried to make the photos a accurate representation of the product, the photos in most cases do not show the entirety of the knife, it is your responsibility to request more photos/information if you are not fully satisfied with the images and information present in the description. ​ the description of the blades are accurate to my knowledge, in terms of dimensions are approximately accurate and may differ slightly if measured at different points of the knife.
delivery:
items will only be sent to a valid UK address, all items prices are inclusive of delivery unless stated otherwise. once a product has been purchase and payment has been received in full delivery process can commence, due to knives need edge testing and inspecting it's condition prior, re-coated in oil to prevent rust during delivery and packaged, please allow up to 5 days for product to be delivered. I will try my best to keep you informed on this process progress and give a accurate delivery quote. We are not responsible for delays outside our control. If our supply of the products is delayed by an event outside our control then we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay. if you are not in for the first delivery attempt, it is your responsibility to arrange a re-delivery,

In the instance your knives arrives damaged, I will arrange a collection free of charge and assess the damage and will offer to repair the knife where possible, if the damage is too severe I will give a full refund.
my knives are made of carbon steel and natural hardwoods unless stated otherwise, these materials are effected by the environment and substances it comes in contact with, so your knife will develop a patina on the blade, the extend and time this patina will depend on your knife care this can be removed and returned to original state by myself at charge. this also means it is susceptible to rusting so to avoid rust developing on your knife, wipe the knife with warm soapy water straight after use and dry immediately. the high carbon steel is hardened to around 58-62 HRC which means it holds a edge for longer and is durable but has some brittleness so can deform/chip and crack if misused by aggressive chopping or using on bone or hard surfaces. the wooden handle is effected by moister and heat, if kept in excessive heat/dry or moist conditions can lead to the handle discolouring/warping/shrinking, so should be kept in a cool dry place and should not be put in a washing bowl or dishwasher, this will damage your handle and rust your blade. ​
